Do you have questions about the bra fitting process? Taryn, The Bra Guru answers your most frequently asked questions about the process of how your bra fitting will go, to ensure that you feel confident when you make your decision to come through, find your perfect fit, and change your life!
Is There A Charge For The Bra Fitting?
There is no charge for your fitting
Do I have To Make An Appointment?
We do recommend you make an appointment, but you can check with studios if walk-ins are accommodated, the Craighall studio does accept walk-ins. Due to social distancing measures, we will only be allowing one client into the fitting studio at a time as some clients do bring a friend along.
What Does The Appointment Entail?
The day you come in for a fitting you can expect to be shown to a fitting room, our professional bra fitter will then take your measurements with your bra on. Once we have taken the measurements we then proceed with your test fit and work our way to your perfect style and size, once we know your size we can try on a variety of options, you will then see how these bras look under your clothing to see the amazing shape, lift and support you will receive.
How Long Does A Fitting Take?
A fitting can take anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes
What If I Don’t Like The Styles On Offer?
We try to keep our most popular sellers in stock, if however, you are not happy with the selection we have available, we will show you alternative options that can be ordered. If you order a bra you will be requested to pay a R350 deposit which is deducted off the price once the bra comes into stock.
What If I Am Uncomfortable With Someone Fitting A Bra On Me?
At the Bra Guru, we pride ourselves in making your experience as comfortable as we can, if you do not want the fitter in the studio with you, we can step outside in between fitting the bras on. We do however need to see the bra on to make sure the fit is correct, I find most clients overcome their initial shyness once they have an opportunity to meet us.
What If I Am Not Happy With My Bra After Purchase?
We do guarantee our fit and we want you to love your bra. It is normal for a bra to be a bit uncomfortable for the first few days of wear, we call this the Wearing in Period, like anything new it needs to soften and mould to your body, this can take anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks, but if you are unsure please do not hesitate to contact us.
How Have Fittings Changed Since COVID-19?
Hand sanitisers are available on entry to each studio. All of our fitters are committed to sanitising their hands frequently before and throughout your fitting. We do have masks and gloves should you be more comfortable with your fitter wearing them. As mentioned earlier, to ensure further safety during the COVID-19 outbreak, we will only allow one client into the fitting studio at a time.
Can I order without fitting but with the size I know as I see that your studios are far from where I stay

Hi there
Please can you guide how to measure my size in order for me to do an online purchase? You do not have a studio in Durban and I don’t think I’m a 34DD anymore. I am suffering with my neck and back and I do think it has a lot to do with the wrong bra size and not comfortable bras with enough support. Your help in this regard will be greatly appreciated.
